2025 CAMPAIGN: “Living Green”
Welcome to summer….finally! The Highland Heights Green Task Force is now half way through our 15 year! Again, I want to thank everyone who has taken this journey with us, learning how to live more environmentally friendly lifestyles, and the reasons why it is important to do so. To those who have supported us, worked many, many volunteer hours throughout the years, and have become long time members, thank you!
On Arbor Day, 2025, for the fifth year, the Highland Heights Green Task Force has helped fund the purchase and planting of a tree in our beautiful Community Park. To all the members who have helped make this possible, it is very much appreciated. Thank you to Mayor Brunello for being an individual who appreciates the benefits of trees in our landscapes.
On May 22, 2025, the Highland Heights Green Task Force awarded two Mayfield High School graduating seniors with our Alan Lorenz Environmental Scholarship. Highland Heights Green Task Force member Marybeth Skala was a presenter, along with Ashley Meinke, daughter of Alan Lorenz. Congratulations to Lillian Longo – Environmental Sciences and Annabelle Kamerman – Chemical Engineering, as being this year’s recipients.
